Deja Vu

It feels like we just did this but here we go again. Just more than a year and a half ago we found out we were expecting and moving to Dallas with in a few weeks of each other. Last week we found out we will be moving to Reno, NV by the end of January and we are just as far a long with this pregnancy. I guess we just like to get all our major achievements done at the same time. The move will be much faster this time around but I think(we're still trying to get used to the idea of moving again) we are excited about this next adventure in our lives.

Eleven

Where has this year gone!? I can't believe our baby is almost 1! Here are a few pictures of him from the past month.
His new favorite thing to eat is a hot dog. If I let him, that's all he would eat! He gets so excited when he eats that he gets his food all over, you can see the little hot dog bits on his cheek and arm.
Auntie Kerissa came to visit for Thanksgiving and thought it would be funny to put Grayson in him laundry basket, you can't tell from the picture but he actually liked it. He would flip over and turn it on it's side and crawl right out.
This month has been his month for climbing. He climbs on everything, pulls himself up to everything and is just all over the place. It's so fun to see him grow up and learn new things!

Here he is playing with daddy's new toy. He sat there and just pushed buttons for quite awhile, using his little pointer finger(so cute).

I {heart} Christmas Lights!

I wish I could say this was our house but it's not. It is my parents house though!
I love Christmas lights but sadly have yet to get lights on our house. Last year I was 8 months pregnant, this year 12 week pregnant and have no energy to do lights, let alone get out of my sweats some days. I do miss those lights though, maybe next year is my year!
Cross your fingers!

SURPRISE!

After the initial shock wore off we are so excited to announce baby #2!
This was very much a surprise for us but know that the Lord had something to do with this and we can't wait for our family to grow.
Our little guy(Kevin thinks is a boy) will arrive June 16th.

Hi!

Just last week Grayson out of no where started waving. We have a picture of Jesus hanging right outside his room and whenever we walk by it he waves at Jesus. It's so cute!

Hair cut, Pumpkin Patch, Halloween...Oh My !

So I know I'm a little late on this but a few weeks ago when Grayson and I went home to visit he got a well needed hair cut. He was very interested in what she was trying to do but over all he did great! Thanks Tanya!
We also ventured over to the pumpkin patch. We realized after getting there that really there isn't much a 9 months old can do but just crowd watch but he loved getting out and as you can see from the picture he was loving playing with all the hay.
I am so glad I got him a costume. I wasn't going to to get him one but found a great deal and ended up buying 3(one for this year, next year and the year after). Of course he didn't know what Halloween is all about but he still looked cute walking around with dad at the trunk-or-treat.

I'm A Big Kid Now

So Grayson has out grown his "baby" car seat. Something we didn't even think about when buying that car seat was the weight and height limits. But too late now.
He looks so small in this bigger seat. But he loves it! He sits higher in the car so he can see better out the windows and he just loves looking around while we drive places.

Best Of Friends

Grayson absolutely loves the dogs! He will just laugh at them, chase them around and occasionally if he can get close enough try to ripe their ears off.
Here is Grayson and Jojo watching for squirrels.
We knew it would happen sooner or later but he found the dog dish. Ya know he loves those dogs so much he wants to eat just like them.
And I couldn't leave this video out of him and Kevin having some fun. You'll notice that Jojo joins in on the fun at the end.

9 Months

So at 9 months Grayson has averaged out a little.
Weight: 20.1lbs
Height: 28.5in
Head: 48cm
Just bout 50% in both weight and height but still in the high 90% for head circumference.
He is just going to be really smart. :)

A "dreamy" Addition

We have known for awhile, actually from the day we got married, that we wanted a king sized bed. We both enjoy our space when we sleep and on top of that two dogs sleeping at our feet, space was limited at times. So last week we made did it, we bought ourselves a king bed!
In the 3 nights that we've had it we have not bumped into each other once and I have not had to fight with the dogs for space. We love it!

His Little Big Adventure

Yesterday Grayson and I went out to get some shopping done, what was supposed to be a quick run to the store turned into play time in the car(our car died on the way to the store). We spent a half hour waiting for Dad to come rescue us than another hour waiting for the tow truck. Grayson loved sitting on daddy's lap turning the wipers on,
along with the blinkers and of course driving.
(sorry for the picture quality, taken with my phone)

Just Thirsty

So now that Grayson can "crawl" (see post below) we are slowing learning that we can't just set thing on the floor. I turned my back for a minute and he had got my water. I had just opened the bottle and only taken one drink. It's hard to tell from the picture but it 3/4 empty. Water all over him and the carpet. But look at him he had so much fun!
You can also see in the bottom left corner and the white spot under the orange on his shirt, he spit-up while playing so he made this watery spit-up soup.

Getting Around

About two weeks ago Grayson showing the first signs of crawling, getting up on his knees and arms doing the rocking motion. We thought that crawling wasn't too far off. But since he realized he could just pull himself around the signs of crawling are gone.
It's really been within the last few days that he was mastered the army crawl. He is loving the ability to get around.

He's Going To Be A Plumber

Last week Grayson had a minor surgery, finally getting circumcised and a phalloplasty. The surgeon and nurses said he did great and everything went well.
(Grayson about two hours after surgey still very drowsy)
The only reason I mention the surgey is to preface the next picutre.
Because I was afraid of causing any pain for him I put him in bigger diapers and pants. This picture is the result.

Lions and Tigers and Bears...

Yesterday Kevin surprised me by taking the afternoon off and taking Grayson and I to the zoo. The zoo it's self was a little disappointing but none the less we had fun just being together.

As you can see from the pictures Grayson was soo excited to see the animals. He actually had a good time, he loves just getting out and seeing things.

Growing Up

Grayson has mastered the skill of sitting up and when he does fall it's on purpose to reach a toy or something.
He also got his first teeth. He is very protective over those guys getting a good picture of them is nearly impossible. He either keeps his mouth closed as tight as he can or sticks his tongue out hiding them.
It's funny how his sitting up and a few little teeth make his feel so much older. Where did my little baby go?

Show Time

A couple weeks ago we took Grayson to his first movie. We needed to get out of the house and hadn't seen Harry Potter yet so we headed off. Grayson did awesome, just sat a played with his toys and at times even was watching the movie.

Just Because

I just wanted to say that I have an amazing husband! He does so much for us and I know I don't tell him enough how much I appreciate it. I'm so proud of him. Kevin is going to think I'm crazy for writing this post, but I just wanted to say I Love You!

Videos From The Trip

At dinner one night we discovered that Grayson loves cantaloupe. My sister was nervous to feed him because he was sucking so hard and suck it right our of your fingers. You'll notice at the end of the video he sucks it out of her fingers and she freaks out a little.

Our HOT Trip Home

Last week Grayson and I headed again back to Seattle to visit. Although we wish we would have waited a week or so because it was so hot while he were there. But of course he still have lots of fun seeing family! I admit I was a little scared to fly with Grayson this time. The last two times we have flown he was still in the "I sleep a lot" stage but he really did great. He ended up sleeping almost the entire time. Yay!(I took this when he woke up from his nap, you can tell he is still waking up)

The second day we were there was the only cool day so staying in the house was bearable so we decided to make some cookies.
(Auntie Kerissa and Grayson getting ready to make cookies)

Grayson was so involved. He is to the point were he wants to know whats going on and explore. So we let him play with the big mixing spoons and of course helped when to dough was all done and ready to cook. Because it got so hot while we were there he went out to eat to cool down in the AC. Here is Grandma and Grayson having some fun at dinner.

We also went bowling to cool down and Grayson actually loved it.

Our trip back home was great but as always it went by too fast. Hopefully we can find a way to visit again sometime soon.

Just For Fun

Here are some random pictures from this month.
I just thought this was cute, with the football on his bum.
My brother gave this hat to Grayson It's a 24month size hat so we thought it wouldn't fit him for awhile but at 6months it fits him just right.

Here is some 4th of July spirit.

And here is his best fish impression.

Happy Half Birthday!

Grayson is 6 months old today I can't even believe how fast time went. As you can see from the picture below, he drools like crazy! I think those little teeth might be here soon. He also is getting close to sitting up. He can balance himself from leaning left and right but he can't seem to keep him self up, he ends up leaning forward with his face almost to the ground.
Some of his favorite things to do are:
-jump in his bouncer(see post below)
-try and put all his fingers in his month as once(he does a pretty good job)
-roll over from his back to his tummy, but gets mad after about 5min because he can't roll back over to his tummy
-watch other kids play(he sat content for quit some time watching two kids play in church today)

Tired But Still Having Fun

We got Grayson this bouncer about a month ago. At first he wasn't so into it but now he will stay in there for a while. I'm not even kidding he was in there for almost an hour today, I tried to take him out but he would start crying.
This was him when I first put him in, jumping around having fun.

This was him about 45 minutes in, laying his head down but still bouncing.

Aww...and he feel asleep as I was writing this post.

Poor Kid

So the last two days we have been in Coffeyville Kansas and Grayson has not been taking his naps. He will cry and scream, fall asleep for about 30-45min and get up again. I feel so bad because I can tell that he is so tired but just wont sleep. I just took this picture and he has been asleep for 2 1/2 hours already!
He looks so peaceful and I'm glad he is sleeping!

...And He Is Over!

So this was Grayson two days ago.
And this was today.

Memorial Day Weekend

With the 3 day weekend we took the opportunity to drive down to San Antonio. Saturday we got up early and headed over to Seaworld. We were kind of nervous about how Grayson would act but he did as good as we could of asked. The day was good, the weather held out on us for a while but because it did start raining we were able to get two free tickets to come back. YAY!
Here we are with a baby python(it looks like Grayson was trying to reach out and touch it)
I didn't get to watch much of the Shamu show, it was too loud for Grayson. But Kevin managed to get a few good pictures.

On Monday we went over to see The Alamo and walk The River Walk.

I think we were both a little disappointed here, there is really nothing left of the original, a few walls and what you see behind us(the chapel).

We thought the River Walk was really neat. For those that don't know what it is it's shops and restaurants right off the river. It had just a great atmosphere and fun entertainment.
Over all we had a great weekend. And are excited to go back when Grayson is older and use our tickets to Seaworld.

He Thinks Mom Is So Funny...

Today while I was changing Grayson's diaper I starting making this noise at his and this was the result.
He was also laughing at me the other day at church when I was singing the closing song to him. I know I'm not a great singer but he didn't have to laugh at me. :)

May 14, 2009

Game Time

Last night the Mariners were in town playing the Ranger so we thought we would catch a game from the 3 game series. Grayson slept on the way there so we thought he would be fine. We got his out of the car put him in his carrier and made out way to the stadium. He was doing just fine but the second we walked into the stadium he started crying and really didn't stop until the 8th inning. So what we thought would be a fun time watching a game turned into...i dunno. Even though he was crying it was still nice to get out and do something.

May 12, 2009

Home Sweet Home

So I found this awesome blog of Seattle. Everyday she posts a new picture of the sights. She has taken so many great pictures, here is one of them.

May 11, 2009

Rice Cereal

The other day we gave Grayson rice cereal for the first time. At first he would make a funny face liked he didn't like it but then when he had ate it all would start crying because he wanted more.

May 5, 2009

4 Months

Yay he is getting taller! Grayson has always grown but mostly in his weight and head circumference. Since is last check up he grew 2 inches, he finally into the 50th percentile for height.
His 4 month stats:

Height: 25in(54%)
Weight: 17lb 8oz(90%)
Head: 43in(70%)
He is just our little chunk!

Trip Home

Kevin had a conference in Seattle this past week so Grayson and I tagged along. The week was full of fun, maybe not as much for Kevin(he had to work and was very busy). Saturday we flew in around 11 had family pictures at 1 and than a Mariners game at 6. The day was non-stop!
(I forgot to take my camera to the game so this is from my phone, but this is Kevin and Grayson at Grayson's first M's game::Grayson is under his red hood, he slept the whole time::)
The rest of the week was more relaxed. Went with my sister and her friend to get pedicures, shopping, and went to a couple of my brothers baseball games. On Thursday my grandparents drove up from Utah for the weekend to meet Grayson. While they were there we went into Seattle and walked around the piers.
(We stopped to eat at Ivar's and shared out fries with the Seagulls.)

(Grayson with his Great Grandpoo)

Over all it was a great trip, got to spend some time with family and catch up with old friends.

What A Goober!

Lately this is how I have found Grayson after his naps. Some how he manages to grab and pull down the blanket over his face. What a funny kid! We love him!
