Lions, Tigers and Bears...Oh My!

Now that I think about it there were no bears at the Sacramento Zoo. It was a smaller zoo but it was still fun to take the day and drive over and have Grayson see these animals for the first time(we've taken him to the zoo before but he didn't get it).

He was so funny, every time he saw something he would start Ohhing and Awwing.
Here he is taking a snack break. I swear he never wants to smile for me when I take pictures, he is more interested in tyring to get the camera from me.

This was the closest I got to a smile that day, he was watching the Kangaroo jump around and thought It was very cool.

Over all it was a fun day well worth the drive and Grayson had a ton of fun.

Grayson Loves...

I love that Grayson loves our dogs! This is a daily occurrence where Jojo and Grayson just sit and watch out the slider. It's so cute!

He also loves, loves, loves to take baths. He would rather play with his shampoo and body wash bottles than he would play with his toys. He usually has one in his mouth and is holding the other.
Along with baths he also loves to play in the water while we shower. It's kinda hard to tell from this picture but he is completely soaked. He wouldn't get at wet but the shower head in our temp housing is really dumb and sprays all over the place. Needless to say it works out well for him, as it gets him really wet.

Another love of his is to be on the couch and rolled around. But I'm scared to let him do it even with someone sitting next to him. So we bought his this bean bag hoping he would enjoy rolling around and stuff in it. It's worked out great!

New Favs!

So I just wanted to share with you the joy these things have brought to my life. I just got these Privo shoes and they rock my world! So comfy! Second, my grandma turned me on the these and what a time saver! I use my crock-pot every Sunday and I hated cleaning the thing after. Long gone are the days of scrubbing, just pull the bag out and all clean! Love it!

Bubbles!

Last week when we went to get Grayson's hair cut he got a prize when he was done, it was a little thing of bubbles. I thought well that's dumb what's he going to do with bubbles. Until we decided to use them, this was the result.

And He's Walking...

I got a semi-good video of him walking today, not the best but much improved from last week.

Reno So Far

Here are just some pictures from the last couple weeks since we've moved.

Grayson got his 4th haircut, his hair grows so fast! We got it cut really short this time but now we can't wait for it to grow back out a little.
This is the door to out garage. Lately this is what happens when they hear the garage opening. Grayson and even the dogs race over to the door and wait for Kevin to come in.

This was Grayson playing in the snow for the first time. He was loving it until Jojo kicked snow on his face while laying down making a snow angel.

So Close...but not really

This is from last week and within the week he has started to get more control of his steps and has better balance.

He also just takes off from holding to something. I've tired to get a video of him but he just does it so it's hard to capture.

One Year Pictures

We finally got our laptop charger in the mail, so I can share these pictures.

I love this picture. This is his new face he makes about a hundred times an hour and it's always accompanied by "OHHhhh!"

I still can't believe how fast time goes. He is now almost 14 months and getting into everything. It's so much fun to see him explore and learn new things. In our house he wasn't able to get to any of the bathrooms but in our temp housing he always manages to find his way to one. I heard him this morning, as I was getting ready, splashing in the toilet water. Ewww!

He is being very stubborn about walking or even standing by himself. We know he can do it but he just choices to still rely on his army crawl. He'll get there sooner or later I just hope it's before our little girl comes. Having two kids that we'd have to carry does not sound fun.

Blue or Pink?

Looks like there will be some pink in our future!

We found out this afternoon we'll be having a girl.

She is growing well and is about 9.5 inches long.

Happy Happy Birthday!

Tuesday Grayson turned one and of course we had to let him have some birthday cake.

At first he wasn't sure what to do, only eating the icing.
But than he figured it out and went after that cake!

But about half way through he had decided he had had enough cake and starting freaking out.

But of course things turned up again when he got to play in the tub after.

Christmas Vacation

We woke up Christmas morning and opened presents with Grayson. But as you can tell from the picture he was not really into it, we tried to get him excited but nothing. He would just lounge out on Kevin.

He did enjoy his gifts; he was in major need of some new toys, so thanks everyone!

Later that day we made our way to the airport, what should have been a 2 hour fight to Utah turned into an 11 hour ordeal including an almost 4 hour layover in Denver, needless to say we made it there!

The next day we woke up and drove up to Idaho Falls for a few hours to visit Kevin's Grandma than on to Freedom, WY to the cabin.

Even though it was way to cold to do anything outside(at least for me, I think the high while we were there was 6) we still had fun relaxing and enjoying my dads fireworks show(fireworks are legal year round in WY and they sale the good ones too). After a few days at the cabin we drove back down to Utah and had a family fest for the next 5 days.

It was a great vacation, very much needed by Kevin after a busy holiday season.

Deja Vu

It feels like we just did this but here we go again. Just more than a year and a half ago we found out we were expecting and moving to Dallas with in a few weeks of each other. Last week we found out we will be moving to Reno, NV by the end of January and we are just as far a long with this pregnancy. I guess we just like to get all our major achievements done at the same time. The move will be much faster this time around but I think(we're still trying to get used to the idea of moving again) we are excited about this next adventure in our lives.

Eleven

Where has this year gone!? I can't believe our baby is almost 1! Here are a few pictures of him from the past month.

His new favorite thing to eat is a hot dog. If I let him, that's all he would eat! He gets so excited when he eats that he gets his food all over, you can see the little hot dog bits on his cheek and arm.
Auntie Kerissa came to visit for Thanksgiving and thought it would be funny to put Grayson in him laundry basket, you can't tell from the picture but he actually liked it. He would flip over and turn it on it's side and crawl right out.
This month has been his month for climbing. He climbs on everything, pulls himself up to everything and is just all over the place. It's so fun to see him grow up and learn new things!

Here he is playing with daddy's new toy. He sat there and just pushed buttons for quite awhile, using his little pointer finger(so cute).

I {heart} Christmas Lights!

I wish I could say this was our house but it's not. It is my parents house though!

I love Christmas lights but sadly have yet to get lights on our house. Last year I was 8 months pregnant, this year 12 week pregnant and have no energy to do lights, let alone get out of my sweats some days. I do miss those lights though, maybe next year is my year!

SURPRISE!

After the initial shock wore off we are so excited to announce baby #2!

This was very much a surprise for us but know that the Lord had something to do with this and we can't wait for our family to grow.

Our little guy(Kevin thinks is a boy) will arrive June 16th.

Hi!

Just last week Grayson out of no where started waving. We have a picture of Jesus hanging right outside his room and whenever we walk by it he waves at Jesus. It's so cute!

Hair cut, Pumpkin Patch, Halloween...Oh My !

So I know I'm a little late on this but a few weeks ago when Grayson and I went home to visit he got a well needed hair cut. He was very interested in what she was trying to do but over all he did great! Thanks Tanya!

We also ventured over to the pumpkin patch. We realized after getting there that really there isn't much a 9 months old can do but just crowd watch but he loved getting out and as you can see from the picture he was loving playing with all the hay.
I am so glad I got him a costume. I wasn't going to to get him one but found a great deal and ended up buying 3(one for this year, next year and the year after). Of course he didn't know what Halloween is all about but he still looked cute walking around with dad at the trunk-or-treat.

I'm A Big Kid Now

So Grayson has out grown his "baby" car seat. Something we didn't even think about when buying that car seat was the weight and height limits. But too late now.

He looks so small in this bigger seat. But he loves it! He sits higher in the car so he can see better out the windows and he just loves looking around while we drive places.
